P.S. Oddly I was doing some research on Military Staffs and flats the other day.  Quite incredible how may examples there are - I believe I came up with 23 examples of Napoleonic alone.

Nicely done Michel!  I was painting part of this set - Egypt Music & Dance - this weekend.  The harp players and musicians are quite fun to research.

Dear Mark,

yes there are quite a lot of Napoleonic staff sets but these two are some of the best.

Alexander I agree with you
I especially like the Frauendorf's
Unfortunately I thought I would never have enough time to paint them

Thank you Mark, and Eric,
I am painting the Hafer set of bull leap from creta, will do some of Neckel, then after Agincourt, some from Agypt !  Nice period (Eric saw it on a French flat web site...).
Note what is your recommendation for the skin of Egyptians ?  Black like nubian, brownish like north african (arabic), redlike like their fresques and paintings, normal as caucasians?
I see of all, but large spread .. Red coloured mightbe more symbolic, but like this too ... ans example will be added from another laptop later today ...

Michel if you go to Stephanie Codert's site:

http://stephanecoudert.com/ (http://stephanecoudert.com/)

there is a large collection of examples of Egyptian figures by Mike Taylor.  (Tough to go wrong with his example.)  He obviously had a fondness for Ancient Egypt and designed quite a number of Egyptian sets as well.
