A couple of scans from the Pat McGill books. One page from the Heraldic Banners book (a 3 volume set) and a page from the Standards, Badges and Liveries book.

In a bookshop in Tewkesbury, I found "The Street Banners of Tewkesbury", produced by the Tewkesbury Battlefield Society, PO Box 147, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 9AP (www. Tewkesbury.org.uk). It gives the arms of over 160 participants in the battle, as well as a brief biography.

There are some books published by Freezywater Publications -
Heraldic Banners of the Wars of the Roses by Thomas Coveney, includes descriptions and coloured illustrations of many banners. Edited by Pat McGill.
Standards, Badges and Livery Colours of the Wars of the Roses by Pat McGill and Jonathan Jones.
The Battle of Barnet 1471 by Patrick McGill.
These are A5 size booklets. You can get them at www.vexillia.com or possibly Amazon or Abebooks.

Hello,
is there a book about the war of roses you can recommend?
Looking especially for one which shows banners, coat of arms and clothing... (all you need for painting figures)
Any ideas?
