One of my preferred Heinrichsen little groups
A dramatic atmosphere, very well designed and engraved, and a very special event in French History

Well, I took the question as an inspiration for carrying out a census.
The result surprised me:

1.)  How many flats do you have painted and unpainted?
      3148 figures , 79 per cent painted, 21 per cent unpainted
- Are these concentrated in any specific time period?
      a lot Napoleonics and Baroque

2.)  How many years have you collected flats?
     almost 40

3.)  First set .
      a couple of Tournament Knights (when I was around 7 years);
      first set I bought myself (14 years) was half a dozen Prussian 1813 Landwehr

4.)  Favorite set.
      Too many favourites for name one.

And, as I mentioned - I was surprised, because I always guessed the number beeing 5000 to 6000 figures.

That's the final step, but I'll wait a few days in case I spot a problem, then put it behind glass in a frame.

That looks terrific Ed. Is it going into a picture frame?

Ok today I received one of my birthday presents. Riding into the Twilight.  This book covers a lot of  information on the German Army's Last Cavalryman 1920-45 . I know that my farther would have liked this books since he was in the First Cavalry Division 7th Cav in World War  II . His division was mounted until they went over seas to Australia. They also patrolled the border  :o I like it because of all the horse equipment in great detail, and the formation information in it. It is printed by Tiger III Books ???   Its not cheap but if you are interested in Cavalry its worth it 8) Willie
