Title: A bal around 1770
Post by: errant49 on December 06, 2017, 06:26:47 AM
I painted this lovely set for a collector friend
This is the famous one from Neckel, engraved by Frank
Just a pleasure all the way, even with not so good a casting

Easy Richard, buy theflats set and paint them, you will be prouder for having it done!

Eric,
Unbelievable, beautiful, and discouraging me to paint .... a long way to get these beauties, so fresh, luminous, detailed !!  I always believed that Douchkine had a succesor with you; this is one more evidence !!!

Sir Eric these are wonderful.  A beautiful rendition of what is probably my all time favorite set of flat figures.   (These are particularly nice given as you say some of these castings are beginning to show their age with the detail somewhat soft.)

mark  8)

P.S. My set is 2/3 painted and should be shown off early next year

Marvelous! Beautiful! Magnificent!
Just a few days ago I put the very same set for painting, now thanks to Eric sharing these unbelievable pictures I have
1. in credit: I am not the only one with awful casted figures ;D
2. in Debit: I will not be able to paint half good as Eric :o
But in any case these pictures give a lot of inspiration indeed!
