must have missed this  :(

very good for a first flat, they do get easier with each one, and you definitely have the potential to be very good. As Glen said, never use White for the eyeball, also I think they need to be slightly larger, although round, they do disappear behind the eyelids top and bottom. I also use a light colour for the Iris and put a darker ring around around it with a small dot of White for the light spot.
this gives the eyes life.

I am pleased you liked St Micheal, and that it encouraged you to have a go.

I look forward to seeing your next figure ;)

X2 Mark.

Grass... don't use pure white for the eyeball. It too stark. Either add a pale flesh tone to it or use a very light gray with the flesh tone. You can also Google 'male eyes' and look at how they're shaped, the relationship of the iris to the upper and lower eyelids, and the density of eyelashes (upper usually thicker than lower).

Cheers,

Glen

So, after making the journey to figureworld a few weeks ago and seeing the flats there, I picked up one of the BFFS cards, looked up the website and found all this.

The flats on display were ace, the St.Micheal one was spectacular and it made me want to try painting a flat instead of the figures I'm used to.
I was given this flat of Boney (sorry I don't know the maker/sculptor) by one of my mates who has an unpainted collection and attached are the results, it was a very different painting experience, one I enjoyed, and it helped me understand a little more about shadow placement and contrast.
I'm not happy with the face, eyes especially and would welcome any comments.

A quick thanks to Brian who prompted me to post these up and also sold me some very nice flats for me to practice my skin tones on.
