Title: Confederate artillery officers
Post by: Mike G on December 04, 2017, 09:19:29 PM
Here are a couple of Confederate artillery officers from the American civil war. The figures are wonderfully engraved by Wolfgang friedrich. I haven’t painted one of his figures for many years, and this was really a pleasure to behold.

Thanks. I mixed ocher into the gray to warm it up a bit and give it a dirtier more “used” look

Mike. If you ever get a chances to visit the Museum of the Confederacy right next to the Confederate White House in Richmond VA. :o Lots of real confederate uniforms in there, and the Virginia War Museum in New Port News VA. Also Time Life did two volumes on Civil War Uniforms in Color the real deal :o As for Confederate gray I recommend a stiff shot of a very strong Adult Beverage before you start mixing the gray ::) Willie
