The diorama shows the conquest of Halberstadt on 29 July 1809 by the Friedrich Wilhem von Braunschweig- Oels . Also the " The Black Duke " called . Halberstadt was defend from 5.westfälischen infantry regiment , the soldiers came almost all from the counter had to Braunschweig , the Duke therefore against his own subjects fighting . The battles in the streets of Halberstadt moved into the late night hours there and was out exasperated from both sides .
The figures are all from Hafer / Kassel. Painting and building of the Diorama from me.
