Have been there a few times...great place. The market around the Cathedral is terrific...great wurst! The Museum is great and they sell their own flats which are quite nice.

Freiburg must be one of my favourite German cities. Apart from the museum, there is a fascinating cathedral, somehow spared from the worst of the bombing, an excellent shop in its shadow to sample local wines, and the joy, on a hot summer's day, of cooling one's feet in the cold mountain streams flowing through channels in many of the streets. If I close my eyes, I'm almost there.

Hello,
here are some photos I took last year at the Zinnfigurenklause at Freiburg in the south of Germany last sommer.The diorama shows a scene from the Schwabenkrieg 1499 and I think the painting was doen by Mr. Stoll from Überlingen.
