Now don't get up set with the guys.  Most of them are nice and very good artist. Each one of us brings a great deal of knowledge to this club and that's the way it should be. We live all over the world yet we have a common bond we all love flats and painting them. Yes we joke and that's good for the club. Like I have said in the past this is a hobby and not  a foot race.  So I say to my fellow Flat Brothers across the Pond and here don't change. Is it true that Nick is from Digby and knows that Vicar ::) I my self are heading to my paint table with a large Brandy Willie

First of all you boys have to much time on your hands :P As for nipples, I like them when they are hard ;D but that's another subject. For eating paint you must have munch the paint on you lead soldiers when you where young :P this would explain a lot about you guys. Now fellow rocket scientist I have a physics college question ?  Since we are trying to see what way to twist off the cap of paint tubes. This my help you. If you live in the Southern Hemisphere how does your toilet water go down when flushed 8). This was a question asked in one of my college Physic class for my final exam ;D Willie

Well, in Australia, a paint's tube is opened clockwise (see "Alice in Wonderland, chapt.24, line 117)

Ah, but the first clocks were sun dials, and although they go clockwise to the sun in the northern hemisphere, they go anti clockwise in the southern hemisphere, so again in Australia it all goes backwards. Well they are really arn't they  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I wonder how artists knew which way to twist caps before there were clocks?  .

And now - something of my dangerous half-knowledge: ;D ;D ;D ;D

According to Sennelier's advertisment (spelled correctly ?)  there were first the clocks ;)

Paints in tubes were invented only in second half of 19th century.

So - every painter, who owned a clock, had this knowledge when buying his first tube of paint.

Hope this helps.
Joerg

Thanks for the history lesson, Joerg.  That answers my question nicely.   8)

You just have Dart around the nipple by the tongue,
and with the small crank Bump up to the top;
there immediately appears an arrow
and as they press on it then,
and you're on the tube!

But only Dart around the nipple by the tongue,
and with the small crank Bump up to the top;
there immediately appears an arrow
and as they press on it then,
and already is on the Tube!
