As I will have retired by then, (punches the air in triumph) there will be no more rushing down to Folkestone after my last lecture, arriving at ten for a couple of well-earned pints, and then hastily setting up the table on Saturday morning. After a leisurely drive down, I can set things up on the Friday. I still haven't missed one Euromilitaire!

OK, this is the next show in 3 weeks, so who's going?

Anyone who wants to buy figures will be pleased to know that a new trader called 2D  ;) will be there selling flats. Well worth the visit just for this  :)

See you there.

I will also have my own new releases ( a 75mm figures and a 90mm figure) though these will be rounds ;)

See you all in a couple of weeks.

Yep 2D Figurines are there, up on the balcony to the right as you walk in, expecting the new figures from Jupiter miniatures and GE to be on the table as well as lots of other flats  ;)

Today I received confirmation that we do have a table in Folkestone. Less than three weeks to go!
You will all be pleased to hear I survived my first day of retirement completely unscathed. No more waging war on the Forces of Ignorance, no more lecturing (though I did enjoy it) and best of all, no more putting up with complete idiots in management! At last I can catch up on my painting!
See you all in Folkestone

Hi Ken,

At least I wont have to walk to far with your box then.  I am opposite the Pegaso stand in my usual place at the bottom of the stairs.

See you all in a couple of weeks.

Only a few weeks now, I am expecting the new figures from Jupiter and GE in the next few days and also Regina Sonntag is sending some more of her lovely figures for the table so hopefully see you at the show.

And don't forget to bring some of your work for the BFFS table, there's always room ;)

I believe we have two tables on the West Balcony this time - a much better view of the proceedings, and not so far to carry my dioramas!

If we are on the west wing, does that mean Brian is on the east wing ?, if so that's handy as Joy will be able to shout COOOO-EEE and wave  to Brian across the top of the hall ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

That's if he's not networking!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

We are further from the downstairs bar, but much closer to the main bar and veranda. It's a clear run down the back stairs, without having to pass through the main hall.

Hello, Chris.
I have a little further to travel than you, but I hope to be there late afternoon. Give me a little time to set up the table, and I'm sure we can have a pint at teatime.

A very good time was had yet again. This year, there were over 950 entrants in the competitions. The new tables were a major success.

Members were a bit thin on the ground, but thanks again must go to Ed, Chris , Brian, Jerry and John for manning the doors at the appropriate times, and occasionally the table. It was good to catch up with friends again you only get to see at the shows.

Obviously the management thanked us personally for propping up the Bar on numerous times, as it is in a bit of a state and would otherwise have fallen down!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

It is at this point I must mention our very own independent flat figure supplier 2D. Brian and Christine, have done a tremendous job and were VERY well received, many people I spoke to said how pleased they were to have a flat figure supplier back at Euro again.   An exceptional feat.
Well Done indeed.

Thank you ALL, for making it a very very pleasant weekend. :)

Not a lot happening on here so here's a thing, in another thread it was suggested the 2D will be "taking Euro by storm" well yep I think we put up a bamm  good show for the flat figure! around 100 sets and single figures where sold and orders taken, looks like we may be having a bit more contest at shows  ;D

I think the success of 2D is due to having two nice ladies on the stall and the scruffy old blokes off networking or whatever it is they were doing.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Have to agree, I take the glory but it's Christine that keeps it all under control :)  paperwork up to our eye balls, and yes a bit of communicating and I thought being a trader I'd get away with not being on the door this year, but no!! I got volunteered to help the BFFS  ;D
