Very sad to hear of Mike's passing. He was a true inspiration, and mentor to so many who had the chance to meet and chat with him. Always willing to give advice, and lead by his immaculately painted flats, the flat's world, and indeed the hobby, has a void that will be hard to fill.
RIP Mike, and deepest condolences to his family.

Sad news indeed. His family is in our thoughts. I dare say he introduced more people to our little corner of the hobby than any other painter.
Are we having fun yet?

That is very sad - I had hoped to meet him with a hearty thank you for giving me so much inspiration.  His level of painting has always been a standard I have aspired to.  Beautiful sense of color with flawless execution.

Rest in Peace Mike.

It is with great sadness that I must report the untimely and sudden death of Mike Taylor Yesterday.

Brian and I only had lunch with him last Saturday, and although he had his problems he did seem in fine fettle.

On behalf of the Society, I send to his wife Ali and Son Mark our profoundly  Deepest Sympathies.

He will always be remembered as one of the Great's and will be sorely missed
