Title: Dark Elf
Post by: Glen on August 11, 2018, 12:28:37 AM
This is Reaper's Elf Ranger Flat converted to a Dark Elf. Apparently they live underground in the dark and have an unpleasant disposition. Reapercon is coming up early this year, so I had to have something new for my flat painting classes. Reaper acrylics over my last bottle of Floquil Railroad Gray Primer.

Qs and Cs welcomed.

Cheers,

Glen

I find the painting very successful, in lights and shadows, and with the colours adapted to the suject!
Painting gives an excellent three dimensional effect to the flat.
I've darkenen the tones and background with a bit more contrast to emphasize the colours.

Can you send the pic with larger size/resolution? (formy collection)

but this is your fourth interpretation, shown in June.

Thanks Michel. I do like the new image. It's far brighter and more saturated than my original (which is actually closer to the actual painting).

Can I send you a larger and higher res pic here or via the message system? I thought there were limitations...

I'll be starting another one in September. Not sure what direction to go.

Cheers,

Glen
