Dear Art,
the Editor of this set is Thomas Körner, aka "Zinnprinzessin"  -  the set is painted from M. Lother
really fine engraved figures from D. Lepeltier ( I own a set)

The series depicts Emperor Justinian and his court at the end of the Nika-Uprising   - the year 532 AD
The emperor known as the Bulgar Slayer was Basileios II.    living 958  - 1025 AD
From Basileios II  there is a big showcase figure available from Dangelmaier.

The recent Berliner Zinnfigur Katalog had a painted set of a Byzantine court group with a bunch of fallen enemies.

I would like more information on the editor and the topic.  One emperor was known as the Bulgar Slayer. Is this him?

Cheers
