Title: Help needed at the St Bernard Pass!
Post by: DUBRIS BOY KENT on February 17, 2021, 10:18:04 AM
I intend to construct the well known set of Napoleon crossing the St Bernard Pass. It is not a full set and hope to add in figures from other sources. I am looking for a source of figures depicting a French Infantry band, in bicornes, and Greatcoats [but not essential] at the halt.
One of JOB's paintings depicts a band playing the Army up the Pass.
Any information as to a possible source of these type of figures, or figures that could be converted, gratefully received.

There are a couple of sets that can be used but both will need conversion. I attach a PDF showing the sets.

Top: Guard Grenadier band by Pierre Bretegnier. I don't know who has the molds for these figures, but you may check with G. Bretegnier.  https://epopees-histoire.fr/

Bottom: Line Infantry band in overcoats. You will need to change the heads. These are Thiel figures and the molds are with Michael Knoll.
