I booked also 4 rooms (single) in a little town, Altkunstadt, about 15 km from Kulmbach.

Unfortunately, one of my old friends cannot come due to health problems.

So I have one room free (price 48 Eur/night with breakfast).

If someone is interested, you can send me a PM.

I'm back :). Did you miss me ;D

I do have 7 twin rooms booked at landgasoff, about 15 minutes out. ( 1 person per room )

I am sure a few of the guys wouldn't mind bunking up togeather should it be necessary.

With some French friends we use to stay at Rasthaus Opel, Himmelkron http://www.gasthof-hotel-opel.de
About 10 km from Kulmabach, next to the motorway and very easy to reach
Maybe they still have rooms left

Good that you both got another hotel, lets hope everyone with a room at the Achat hotel has the same luck  ;)

Dear all,

yes I had a phone call with the Hotel today (as my reservation was not cancelled yet) and the Hotel will stay closed at Kulmbach fair as damages have been too heavy.

Went out close to Bayreuth as well but close to the "Autobahn".

So thanks for information on that !

Thanks for the updates.

I have booked a hotel in Bayreuth and will commute.  Good luck to the approximately 100 other collectors who are displaced.

Cheers

Don't worry, Art. If the worst comes to the worst, we'll keep a patch clear for you next to our tent.
