I believe one seller acquired a large collection that included many complete or near complete sets. The battle of murten sold for hundreds as well. Oh well!

They have been showing up more frequently of late.  I am wondering if they are being recast by Leipzig or someone else.

Just crazy !

When they become available I will probably buy them. I will never paint anywhere near all of them so would be happy to share some of them with everyone here

When Scholtz takes over moulds, you normally can only buy whole series, and to a horrendous prize. I don’t know if it is possible to order single figures out of a series, but if so, I fear that the prize will even more horrible!

In the old days, when Franz Beck was alive and had his moulds of wonderful figures (Germans), he would happily cast a single figure and for a reasonable cost too. And the same was true for the Gottstein figures as well.

So it’s a bad thing that the figure treasure of Gottstein will now meet the same tragic faith of not being bought by so many collectors anymore. They will be FAR too expensive! Sadly enough. :'(

Could you keep us informed as to when the figures will be issued?

Thanks

This is good news, beautiful figures.  I have half of this set from an auction of figures from the Great Jim Woodley.  I have been chipping away at them - great engraving of the ruthless/haughty Assyrian leaders.

I was just informed that this famous set is in the possession of Sholtz, and that the figures will be issued once again after the molds have been cleaned
