Dear All,

It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of Michael on 27th November.

Having not seen him on the forum for 2 weeks,  I emailed him last night to see if everything was OK.
This morning his Wife Angela emailed me back with this very sad news.

I met him and his wife in Kulmbach, where he was organising this project, and his enthusiasm was boundless and inspiring.  He was, as they say a real Gentleman and I for one, will miss his great sense of humour on here.

Angela has asked us to carry on with the project on his behalf, and I feel it will be a great tribute to him. She is now sending me the figures, so I will personally see this through.

It goes without saying, that our condolences and sympathies go out to Angela and all the Family, and we wish them all the best for the future.

Nicholas

Well, I'm done!!! ;D ;D ;D although, I haven't had the courage to turn the horse into a piebald :-\

The second photo is on a shelf, which shows up the 3D better than on black card ;)

Due to the light, the shading on the rear back leg is actually black!!!   Just the base to paint black, then he's on his way ;)

Almost complete now - horse has changed colors twice as has his cape but, happier now.  Just needs some touch ups and finish the cuirass and then back to it's home.  Despite all a sweet figure!

(I also knocked the horses tale off so there is a peg in the back for that as well... :P )

Hello Roland K. Simon,

today your Sobieski was in my postbox. Now 6 figures are back and waiting to be mounted on the black
rear wall...

Best regards

Hello Glen,

thank you for your detailed painting and the sculpturing of the armour. It looks great.

I hope you had a lot of fun; that´s the aim of the painting project.

Now I´ll look every day in my postbox...

Best regards

Michael

Thank you, both! That's the third horse I've painted since the '70s and the second 30mm horse in the last two years. maybe I'm getting the hang of it... ::)

This goes to my club meeting next weekend, then I'll send it back to Michael. Still thinking about the MG logo...  8)
