« Last post by Richard on June 22, 2017, 04:01:00 AM »
Hello

Does anyone know the Mignot set that will be cast by Plassenburg Museum for the next Kulmbach Fair ?

I am very fond of these figures.

Gallery / Re: Salomé

When I started my set, bought second-hand from Scholtz, I was inspired by Eric's figures. Salome and the slave were painted first, as I already had done an African Page Boy in bluish black I now went for a more chocolate hue. The Jewish priest and high-priest was painted according to research on the net, also got Chris McNab's Osprey book on the Roman Army from the City library.  Herod Antipas painted according to a illustration from Braun & Schneider's The History of the Costume.

I believe one seller acquired a large collection that included many complete or near complete sets. The battle of murten sold for hundreds as well. Oh well!
