Fantastic paintings !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Are you painting one side or the two sides?
2. Are you pre-painting with acrylics or directly with oil on your undercoat?
-
Hi Hannibal,I paint one side....Usually, I paint undercoat with acrylics, but, sometimes, only with oils.....I see that by painting directly with oil, the colors seem more vivid ;)
-
Thank you Angelo ! I was impressed by the vivid colours of your paintings, and swa your last few with direct oil painting.
I am on several attempts of acrylic undercoating since six months, with the purpose to reduce the amount of oil of the last layers and accelerate so the drying time.
Is your acrylic coating as accurate as the final oil paint, or more used as surface colouring, sot the tiny small details ? (faces, details, coats of arms, ..)?
Fantastic effect reached anyway in the final painting, with a general zenithal light sourcing … Congratulations, and you seem to paint quiet fast !!

I dedicate all my free time to painting .... I spread a couple of thin layers of acrylic, in order to identify lights and shadows, but the bulk of the work I do with oils .... I do not clog the details of the engraving . ;)
