Post by: shogun on January 10, 2022, 03:26:44 PM
Hi Claudio, sorry, I have any drawings from Retter. I get them per fax in the 90`s by Mrs. Brenner-Mäurle. So I will start with King Poros tiger hunt.

I have to confess a great fondness for some of the old vendor catalogs as well as Retter in general - the Olympics, gladiators and Snow White among others all good stuff.  But, the detail on the page of Diogenes and Alexander - really interesting stuff - to me anyway.

Shogun thank you for sharing this - I love seeing the vision from an editor/engraver perspective which a catalog can provide.

BTW when Mr. Dangelmaier took over the Retter moulds he set up a very nice and detailed catalogue with alls figures shown in line-drawings.

Sorry Alexander, the catalogue includes photos of figures not line drawings.
