Title: Sèvres 2017 - Dec 02-03, 2017
Post by: Hannibal on December 05, 2017, 05:37:38 PM
Sèvres 2017 was last week-end ! Magnificient show again, around 1,000 figures, a bit less than in 2016, but 128 flats in competition, 13 more than 2016 and two more artists.
Creation:       1 from one artist
Masters:      41  from 22 artists -
Confirmed:  56 flats from 19 artists
Novice :      24 flats from 9 artists
Dioramas:     4 from 2 artists  (actually 7 from 4 artists but not all registered as dios)
Aviation:       1 flat from 1 artist
Green:          1 flat from 1 artist (within global greens)
Total 128 pieces from 51 artists (some artists common to several categories)
Awards: 9 Gold, 15 Silver and 13 Bronze.
A hommage display to Catherine Cesario was presented by Richard Poisson like in Rubelles and Veldhoven, with 22 of her major paintings exposed, collected from various private collections.
I will load about 215 pictures among 650 taken, within the coming two weeks in the Show Gallery.  Thank you for your patience as they require some sorting, selection, cleaning and reformatting, but all pieces were photographed.
M.

According to the list I received from the AFH to give descriptions to my flats, this set of the Jeronimus Bosch serie II from Jupiter Miniatures was painted by Helen Bourch, who was awarded with a silver medal.  I know that she painted a excellent Napoleon Louis XIV (corrected) flat in previous shows.  I ignore how she looks like, but I saw the person who brought this montage, a young 30-35 old blond lady, of good appearance ...
I will post fur pictures of this set, a general one, and a picture of each layer enlarged. Excellent painting indeed.
I will work on the pictures, but in the show, actually loaded with Novices, I have t load 62 pictures for the Confirmed, that the Masters, and Helen Bourch is at the middle of a total of 55, so some 90 pictures before reaching her... !

Thanks Erich!
I'll have to find someone to access Facebook, I refuse to open my private life to the world and to companies picking and selling my data to make money of them to others, and then be infected by undesired messages to attempt to push me to buy without needs ... (sorry I am an old calcified man of the first half of the XXth century ....)

Vsiting from somone else, indeed, Helen seems to be a young lady, from Minsk, painting quiet impressively 'Les drapeaux de France', but could not find more details .. Impressive figurine of Jeanne d'Arc riding on a horse wih a flag !!!!
She registered another painting "La Geisha Withcat", but is as not a flat, not seen, perhaps in another category of ronde-bosses ..(1).
Via Seach in the Galleries, I found that she also painted Louis XIV at the World Expo of Chicago (gold award)  and a bust of Pharao, & St Georges and the Dragon from Vl. Nuzhdin, that I photographed last year at Sèvres ...  I remembered her face too now!
(therefore the interest to indicate the painter name and descrption with all pictures....)

(1) In the list of awards of the Wold Expo of Chicago, she also won a gold for a "Geisha", in the list, but flats and figurines are mixed, so they could well be separated in Sèvres ...  I have no pictures of figures of Sèvres except some on the Napoleonic and Middle Age period.

Dear Michel, I understand your opinion very good.   For myself I can say the following - I use Facebook only to see something - what the children do - for example -- or what a part of the members of the family does (all living some miles away) - my account doesn`t run under my full name - and I have learned very quickly that it is better to post nothing or nearly nothing - but it is an opportunity to see some things you cannot find in the web on other places - some pics or vids  from great model shows or such things ..... and never I will say anything about policcs on FB
